We’re sure you’re wondering what to expect when choosing a Semi-Custom Wedding Suite. Each company will have their own definition, so the term isn’t exactly universal, which can make it a little confusing and maybe even a little scary to purchase. That’s okay. We get it.
Here at Five Dot Design, a Semi-Custom Wedding Suite is one where you may change the colors on the invitation, the paper color, and the color of your envelopes. The fonts of the suite stay the same and the design will only change to accommodate your specific information. This means if you see the suite you love with the introduction “Together with their families” but your parents are hosting the wedding and you prefer “Mr. and Mrs. John Smith invite you to the wedding of their daughter,” that’s perfectly okay – we encourage you to make the wording your own! The wording will reflect the information you need to provide to your guests and the colors will reflect the color palette you have chosen for your event. The design layout and the fonts of the suite will remain as you see them on the site.
We highly encourage you to order a sample packet before ordering your invitations. The sample packet will not be customized to you or your color palette, however, we provide all of the colors from which you are able to choose on both paper options. We provide you with a larger range of hues, as we know no two blues are truly the same. We want you to feel the paper, see the printing and appreciate the quality. We do this so you can purchase with confidence and we’ll discount that cost on your final and full order.
A form and a contract will be emailed to you once your order hits our inbox. We will use this exact information to create a proof of the suite you have ordered – please read your information over carefully to ensure all spelling and details are correct. Any changes made after your form is sent over will be subject to design fees.
Once you send your approval of the proof, your suite goes into production. We will not print without your approval.
We assure you that there is a live person handling your suite once you hit “Submit Order.” We have a FAQ page set up in case you have questions on etiquette, wording, and even addressing. Use this to help you gather all the necessary information for your invitation suite.
